The body is a majestic, complex multi-system, self-governing miracle.
There is no doubt it knows how to heal itself, when given the right nutrients and tools to allow the natural process of homeostasis to occur.
But (and here I’m going to state something we hear too often these days) with all the toxins and chemicals in today’s environment, the body simply cannot keep up.
The body was designed to heal.
It was also designed to recycle.
And unfortunately the recycling has become troublesome.
The Enterohepatic Recirculation system is where all the recycling goes down.
Let’s start with the basics.
The body has a few ways of detoxifying to maintain a healthy internal environment. This includes our own metabolic byproducts. Millions of chemical reactions happen at every moment to allow the body to move, breathe, smile, laugh, think, walk, etc.
Metabolic byproducts are fat-soluble. Just like mold, pesticides, exhaust fumes, essential oils, herbicides, and more are fat-soluble toxins.
Anything fat-soluble is handled in the liver (any water soluble waste is managed by the kidneys) and is stored in the bile.
The bile is also used to digest foods in the small intestine.
So the toxin-filled bile is released as food is being consumed to help digest the food. And (here lies the problem) it is reabsorbed at the end point of the small intestine at a rate of 95 percent.
In other words, our toxins are constantly being reabsorbed at a rate of 95 percent.
So, the key to detoxifying is to pull the toxic-laden bile past the reabsorption point of the small intestine (in the ilium).
Most practitioners use supplemental binders, however, these binders also pull nutrients from the body.
There is a food source that will bind to bile and pull it past the reabsorption point, allowing the body to make new (more fluid, less toxic) bile. This food source will force the toxins out of the body and dump them in the toilet where they belong.
In addition to pulling out the toxic bile, this food source will provide the body with proteins, carbs, minerals and vitamins. This replenishment of nutrients is vital for most healing from chronic illness.
This food source is beans + lentils.
